new skin by amanda wachob

Freshly etched and photographed by Amanda Wachob

It’s been nine days since my last ink session, so my inner bicep and forearm are currently in prickly tree bark condition. But I’m just too delighted not to share this new art on my body by the inimitable Amanda Wachob. Inspired by one of Georgia O’Keeffe’s Abstractions, I love how organic and sinewy it appears in this position. This is the second tattoo I’ve gotten from Amanda; she engraved the 1920s flower lady on my left shoulder I have yet to post a complete photo of. She’s an extraordinary artist and also one of the sweetest people on the planet, so I certainly hope this isn’t my last!
